Who is your favorite wizard of all time?
I suppose I should be saying "Harry Potter" considering that he is probably the wizard who inspired this question, but in reality, Harry takes a solid fifth in my list of favorite wizards.
Number one goes to … Merlin, advisor to King Arthur.
Number Two on my list is Gandalf. Lord of the Rings is quite possibly the best fantasy series of all times and Gandalf is the best wizard of his Order.
Number Three is Albus Dumbledore, because he is conscience of JKR's wizarding world, protector of innocents, empowering those who would otherwise fail, and guide of those destined to do great things. Without Dumbledore, Harry Potter would be nothing.
Number Four is Harry Dresden of the The Dresden Files. Jim Butcher's Harry is quick-witted, snarky, and full of typical America bravado.
Number Five … finally… Harry Potter. The Boy Who Lived is a struggling hero. He struggles with his past, his present, enemies he made as a mere babe, with school, teachers, and life.
